Who is responsible for your data

Mert Algın, sole trader (ABN registered in Australia), Melbourne, Australia. You can reach us at hello@raymarchix.com for anything in this policy, including requests about your data. If you need our full registered address for a formal request, ask and we will provide it.

What we collect

To produce your reading: your date of birth, time of birth (optional), place of birth, your email address, the language you chose, your name (optional), the questions you write, and a promo code if you use one. In Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, adjectives change form depending on the person being addressed, so in those languages we also ask which form the reading should use. You may decline to say. That answer is used only for the grammar of the text and never changes what the reading says about you. Nothing else. We do not ask for your address, phone number or identity documents.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details never reach our servers and we never see them.

If you become a member we also keep: your membership status, the letter language you chose, the letters written for you, and your answers to the questions in the letters (the options you pick and the sentences you add). Those answers are read only to write your next letters; apart from counts stripped of any identity, they feed nothing else.

If you ask for a free chart note, we keep the same birth data, your email address, your name if you give it, and the note we wrote for you.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We use your birth data solely to calculate your chart and write your reading, and your email solely to deliver it. This is processing necessary to perform the contract you entered into when you bought the reading (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

We send marketing emails only if you separately ticked the optional consent box. That is consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and you can withdraw it at any time without affecting your purchase.

The free chart note is written and delivered on the basis of the request you make for it (Article 6(1)(b)). If you also tick the box for the short series that follows, we send up to three more emails over twelve days, each written from your chart, on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Every one of them carries a link that ends the series with one tap, and becoming a member ends it as well.

No tracking, no cookies

This site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or tracking scripts. The only statistic we keep is an anonymous daily count: the day, the language, the page, and the tag of the link that brought you here (for example an ad or a promo code), as numbers only. No IP address, device identifier, cookie or account is stored with it, so it cannot be traced back to you. We do not profile you, we do not build an audience, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers. This is why you see no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the step it performs:

• Stripe — payment processing • Anthropic — generating your reading from your chart data and questions • Resend — delivering your reading by email • Railway — hosting our service and database • Vercel — hosting this website • Cloudflare — domain routing and incoming email • OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — looking up the city you type when choosing your birthplace

Several of these are based in the United States, so your data is transferred outside the EU/UK. These transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses. We do not give your data to anyone else, and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep your order, including your birth data and your reading, until you ask us to delete it, so you can return to your reading whenever you like. To request deletion, write to hello@raymarchix.com.

If you consented to marketing emails, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is one click and always available.

Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as tax law requires.

The record of your membership (your letters, your answers and what you were waiting for) is not deleted on a schedule: it stays as long as your account exists, even if your membership ends. That way, when you come back, the letter continues where it left off. Deleting is in your hands: "Delete my memory" in your account removes your answers and what you were waiting for at once, and "Delete my account" removes everything tied to your account.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give it to you in a portable form, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.

Write to hello@raymarchix.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority: in the EU your national authority, in the UK the ICO, in Türkiye the KVKK, in Australia the OAIC.

Security

Traffic to this site and our service is encrypted. Our administrative interface is protected by a secret key and is not publicly accessible. Backups are encrypted at rest and access is limited to the operator. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affected your data, we would notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

This service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes affecting existing customers will be sent by email.
